2026 North Dakota State Parks Hiking Challenging
(Formally Known As 12 Months - 12 Hikes)

For the sixth year, the North Dakota Park & Recreation Department (NDPRD) has issued a statewide “2026 Hiking Challenge” with a fresh hiking challenge every season of 2026. To participate, just pick and hike a qualifying trail in one of the 14 state parks. You can complete your hikes all in one park or explore any of 14 locations across the state.

Reminders: A daily pass ($7) or annual ND state park pass ($35) is required to enter.

The North Dakota Geocaching Association (NDGCA) would like to help everyone complete their hiking challenge. To do this, we will be hosting an event in a different state park each month, so we can get together with other geocachers and hike.

Event locations and dates are subject to change.

2026 North Dakota Geocaching Association
16th Annual Camping and Caching Event
June 26th, 27th, and 28th, 2026
Fargo, ND

The 16th annual NDGCA Camping and Caching event will be held in the Fargo area.
1940Chevy and a team of local geocachers will be hosting.

For those planning to camp, the planning committee recommends Lindenwood Park. Please note that Lindenwood Park opens its campsite reservations after January 1, and making reservations early is highly encouraged.

Hours: 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Out of the 32 members who were eligible to vote in the board election this year, 13 members submitted their vote by the 23:59CDT September 14th deadline.

We will be scheduling a board meeting late September or early October to welcome the newly elected members and select a board president, vice president, and assign roles.

NDGCA June 2025 - June 2026 Membership Application and Online Payment Now Live

If you would like to join as a new member or renew your annual membership, please complete the July 2025 - June 2026 NDGCA membership form.

Memberships can be paid via PayPal. Checks are still accepted by mailing the check to Jim Simmons using the mailing address at the bottom of the online membership form.

You must click the Submit button on the memembership form in order for your information to be saved.

If you submit the form before paying, please use this PayPal link to submit your payment. You must select your membership level in the PayPal form also.

NDGCA Branded Merchandise Now Available

The North Dakota Geocaching Association has opened a store on ThreadLess where you can order a wide variety of NDGCA branded merchandise. The NDGCA does receive a percentage of the profits from all items sold so you not only get some cool merchandise, you also help fund the NDGCA with your purchase.
